CES(Centre of English Studies)는 더블린(Dublin) 메인캠퍼스를 비롯해 영국, 캐나다 등에도 캠퍼스를 운영하는 체인형 어학원입니다.
영국에는 런던(London), 워딩(Worthing), 옥스포드(Oxford), 리즈(Leeds), 하로게이트(Harrogate) , 에딘버러(Edinburgh) 지역에 캠퍼스를 운영하고 있습니다.
아일랜드에서 시작해서 전세계적으로 캠퍼스를 확장한 유일한 어학원으로 가족경영 어학원의 장점과 체인형 어학원의 장점을 모두 갖추고 있는 곳입니다.
영국과 아일랜드 모두 캠퍼스가 있기 때문에 영국 + 아일랜드 연계연수시에도 인기가 많은 어학원입니다.
CES 런던 캠퍼스
CES 런던 캠퍼스는 런던에서 부촌이라고 할 수 있는 윔블던(Wimbledon)에 위치하고 있습니다. 윔블던은 테니스로 유명한 곳이며 한인 타운과도 가까운 곳입니다. 걸어서 10분 정도 거리에 기차역과 쇼핑센터가 있어 생활이 편리할 뿐 아니라 조용하고 안전한 주택가라서 공부하기에도 좋은 환경을 가지고 있습니다.
학교 주변에 공원도 많고 치안이 아주 우수한 곳이라 공원 산책하기에도 좋습니다. 윔블던 역에서 기차를 타면 런던 시내까지 20분 정도면 갈 수 있기에 입지에 대한 만족도 역시 큰 학교입니다.
영국의 다른 도시 뿐 아니라 아일랜드에도 캠퍼스가 있는 브랜치 학교라서 규모가 크게 느껴지지만, 각 캠퍼스들의 크기는 작은 편입니다. 그래서 가족적인 분위기의 브랜치 학교라는 특성을 가지고 있습니다. 그리고 다른 캠퍼스로 이동도 가능하므로, 브랜치 어학원의 장점은 확실하게 가지고 있습니다.
학교 규모가 작다보니 가족적인 분위기로 교사와 학생들간의 유대관계가 쉽게 형성된다는 장점이 있습니다.
유럽학생들이 많은 편이고 장기 어학연수시에는 다른 도시 + 런던 캠퍼스를 조합해서 공부하는 경우가 많습니다.
한반의 수업인원도 비수기에는 10명 이하로 떨어지는 경우도 많기 때문에 회화위주로 공부하기에는 아주 좋은 환경입니다.
그리고 기숙사 가격 역시 매력적이므로 런던 홈스테이가 불안하신 분들에게 아주 매력적인 어학원입니다.

ACCOMMODATION: (숙소)
Accommodation is arranged in a carefully selected homestay on request. (숙소는 요청 시 신중히 선정된 홈스테이로 배정됩니다.)
Half board (bed, breakfast, and dinner). (하프보드 제공: 침대, 아침식사, 저녁식사 포함.)
No allowance will be made for absence from the homestay during the time arranged or for late arrival/early departure. (예정된 기간 동안 홈스테이에 머물지 않거나 늦게 도착하거나 일찍 출발하는 경우, 이에 대한 환불은 제공되지 않습니다.)
As per British Council regulations, we can place up to four students in a homestay. (영국문화원 규정에 따라 홈스테이 한 집에 최대 4명의 학생이 배정될 수 있습니다.)
Please note that a single room request for 16-17 year old students is not guaranteed during July and August. (16~17세 학생의 싱글룸 요청은 7~8월 동안 보장되지 않습니다.)
Shared room accommodation is only guaranteed for 2 people if travelling together. (공용룸은 함께 여행하는 2명에게만 보장됩니다.)
*NB In London there is a possibility of all placement in a private home. (런던의 경우 모든 학생이 개인 가정집에 배정될 가능성이 있습니다.)
This means that more than 4 students could be staying in one home. (이는 한 가정집에 4명 이상이 머물 수 있음을 의미합니다.)
However, students are notified of this in their confirmation letters and could ask for it to be changed to regular homestay if necessary** (단, 학생은 확인서에서 이에 대해 안내받으며 필요 시 일반 홈스테이로 변경을 요청할 수 있습니다.)

MEDICAL INSURANCE: (의료 보험)
You are strongly advised to take out travel and medical insurance before leaving home. (출국 전 여행 및 의료 보험에 가입할 것을 강력히 권장합니다.)
Insurance should cover the loss of personal possessions and loss of tuition fees if you have to cancel your course or return home early. (보험은 개인 물품 손실이나 학업 중단 시 수업료 손실을 보장해야 합니다.)

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: (사회 활동)
CES offers a variety of social activities for students to join. (CES는 학생들이 참여할 수 있는 다양한 사교 활동을 제공합니다.)
Students pay only for the excursions and activities in which they wish to participate. (학생은 원하는 활동 및 견학에 대해서만 비용을 지불합니다.)
Approximate costs for excursions - Full day = €100 - €140. Half day = €45 - €65. (견학 비용은 전일 기준 €100~140, 반일 기준 €45~65 정도입니다.)
CES also organizes a range of free afternoon and evening activities in all schools. (CES는 모든 학교에서 다양한 무료 오후 및 저녁 활동도 운영합니다.)
POLICY OF CARE: (학생 보호 정책)
CES has a strict policy of care and welfare for all 16 and 17 year old students studying in our adult schools. (CES는 성인 과정에 참여하는 16~17세 학생들을 위한 엄격한 보호 및 복지 정책을 운영합니다.)

Tuition and other fees:
Notice provided of up to 14 days prior of the arrival date - cancellation fee of
€250 (Ireland) / GBP£250 (UK) / CAD $350 (Canada) Notice provided of fewer
than 14 (21 days Canada) days prior to arrival - no refund given. There is no refund
if a student fails to complete the programme. There will be no refund for students
who change from Intensive to Standard Course.
Where a visa has been refused, CES will refund the fees less the €250 (Ireland) /
GBP£250 (UK) / CAD $180 (Canada) and bank charges on receipt of evidence of the
visa refusal plus the refusal number.
If the intended commencement date of an English Language Programme is delayed
because of visa problems, CES will adjust your tuition or accommodation dates
subject to availability. No refund will be made.
Amendment
We advise that adequate time is given in the study visa process to avoid date amendment changes (€50 (Ireland)/£50 (UK)/$50(Canada) per change, 1st one free). Details
of processing time is available from the Embassy in your country.
